Welcome to The Hebe and New Zealand Plant Society! Founded in 1985, we promote the cultivation and conservation of Hebes and other New Zealand native plants as a British Registered Charity.

Voting for our 2026 photo competition is now open!

Below is a button to vote for the images entered in our 2026 photo competition, falling under 4 categories: a photo of a whole Hebe or New Zealand plant, a group of Hebes and/or New Zealand plants, a close-up of a Hebe or New Zealand plant (detailing a specific feature), and a photo of a New Zealand 'plant hunter' with a plant. Voting is open now, and closes on August 23rd. The winning photos will be announced at the society's AGM in September, as well as in the next edition of Hebe News. All of the entries will be included in a blog post about the competition on our website, with the winners from each category also being featured on the website's homepage. The winner of each category will also receive a small prize. Feel free to share this so we get as much engagement as possible!
